Job Description

Oliver James Associates are an ambitious and entrepreneurial Recruitment Consultancy operating out of 11 international offices. Established in 2002, we have grown organically and consistently over the past 16 years to become a renowned financial services search & selection organisation, with a current head count of circa 370 employees.

In the last 3 years we have doubled in size and our turnover went from €60 million to €130 million, in the last 2 years we opened 5 new offices and you will not see another privately owned company growing as fast!

Due to this growth and the expansion of the Brussels offering we are looking to bring in an experienced recruiter with knowledge of our key markets (banking and insurance) with management/mentoring experience to transition into a learning and development position.

This role would be part of a wider team of 10 Global sales trainers and reporting into the Global Head of L&D

Job Description:

  • Full responsibility for the learning and development experience of Brussels based Oliver James associates employees
  • Responsibility for analysis, preparation and delivery of classroom-based group training
  • Delivery of core education programmes from new starter fundamentals to advanced sales best practice
  • 121 mentoring and coaching delivered to employees in order to ensure continued advancement and maximum profitability
  • Advising senior stakeholders on opportunities to maximise revenue and increase profitability across sales operations
  • Design and delivery of complex roleplay scenarios to ensure Oliver James Associates best practice is adhered to in all client facing activities
  • Identification, research and implementation of new complex sales models within the business to ensure sustained growth
  • Accurate logging of employee development, providing advice on talent pipelining and promotion decisions
  • Constant interaction with the rest of the senior team, providing critical advice on office environment, sales performance, and new opportunities for growth
  • Monitoring of employee engagement levels and development pathways to ensure maximum retention of staff
  • Senior advisor to the business on growth potential and internal capabilities

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Expert level knowledge of recruitment and recruitment practices, and associated skills, predominantly gained recruiting in to the financial services industry if possible
  • Engaging, positive and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Team leadership and mentoring experience gained within a recruitment environment
  • Excellent communication skill, an impressive presence, able to demonstrate the ability to quickly build rapport and long term business relationships
  • Experience of engaging and communicating with senior stakeholders
  • Expert level knowledge of recruitment (ideally within the tech sector) and recruitment practices, and associated skills, predominantly gained recruiting in to the financial services industry if possible
